美国能源部橡树岭国家实验室研究人员成功开发量子化学模拟基准

美国能源部橡树岭国家实验室（ORNL）的研究人员开发了量子化学模拟基准，以评估量子设备的性能并指导未来量子计算机的应用开发。其成果已发表在npj Quantum Information。
根据ORNL量子化学家Jacek Jakowski的说法，当前的基准测试是一套全面基准测试和度量标准的基础，这些标准用于管理不同科学领域的量子处理器的性能。随着量子计算硬件的改进，这一基准将不断发展。



Researchers at the Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratory have developed a quantum chemistry simulation benchmark to evaluate the performance of quantum devices and guide the development of applications for future quantum computers. Their findings were published in npj Quantum Information.
According to ORNL quantum chemist Jacek Jakowski, the current benchmark is a first step towards a comprehensive suite of benchmarks and metrics that govern the performance of quantum processors for different science domains. It is expected to evolve with time as the quantum computing hardware improves.
